PC Memory Shield is a handy application that allows you to protect your PC from unauthorized or unneeded processes. Once installed, the program sits silently in your system tray and alerts you when any program attempts to run on your computer. When this happens, a window pops up, asking for your permission to run the application (with just two buttons: Allow and Block).
The application's tabbed window displays the running processes, allowed and blocked ones, as well as a trash jar. You can easily move processes from the "allowed processes" tab to the "blocked processes" one and vice versa. The program allows you to set hotkeys to easily run certain applications, or open files or folders, as well as to shut down or restart your system.
The user interface is really intuitive and nice, which makes the program accessible for anyone. Even though the program effectively notifies the user about running programs, the blocking feature is not available in the trial version, so it cannot be fully tested before you have to make the decision whether to buy the program or not.
